At Navarro Farm, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities have the opportunity to grow-personally, socially, and professionally. Our Farmers don't just plant crops; they cultivate confidence, build friendships, and gain valuable life skills in a safe, supportive environment.
What Farmers Experience during program:
Hands-On Agriculture - Learn to plant, tend, and harvest crops, gaining a deep connection to the land and the food we grow.
Animal Care - From collecting eggs in the chicken coop to feeding the goats, Farmers develop responsibility and hands-on skills while caring for our animals.
Farm-to-Table Cooking - Discover the joy of preparing fresh, homegrown ingredients through engaging cooking lessons that foster independence.
Life & Job Skills - Whether it's working the farm stand or assisting with daily farm tasks, Farmers gain skills that translate to everyday life.
Social & Recreational Activities - From talent shows and dances to worship Sundays and outdoor games, Farmers build friendships and create unforgettable memories.
